Resumption of Groundnut import from India by Vietnam
Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development of Vietnam has issued the Decision No. 118/QD-BNN-BVTV dated 18th January, 2016 to resume import of groundnuts from India into Vietnam. Plant protection department would issue Import Permits w.e.f. 18th January, 2016 to the Importers. They should send a copy to the Indian Exporter for presenting the same to Indian PSC issuing authorities. All imported groundnut consignments must comply with Standard Operating Procedure (brought out by NPPO-India.) However, if any interception of living quarantine pest of Vietnam, PPD of Vietnam will apply higher measures as per their regulations.
(This has resulted only after the Vietnamese delegation visited India and were satisfied with the arrangements in place.)
