Export of Rice to China

 

APEDA and Union Department of Agriculture & Cooperation of Government of India are in the process of registration of Rice Mills. The application in prescribed form should be submitted to The Plant Protection Adviser, Dte. of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Govt. of India, Min. of Agriculture, NH-4, Faridabad-l21 001,latest by July 31, 2015. The audit visits will be completed by August 30, 2015. Standard Operating Procedure has been developed for registration of the Rice Mills.This document provides guidance and prescribes the operating procedures for a national system for export of rice from India to China in accordance with the Protocol of phytosanitary requirements for the export of rice between the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People‟s Republic of China(AQSIQ) and the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation (DAC), Ministry of Agriculture. The fumigation with methyl bromide @ 80 gm/m3 for 48 hours shall be carried out as per the guidelines contained in NSPM – 11 by the pest control operators accredited as per NSPM 12.

 

Additional declaration on Phytosanitary certificate:-

“This is to certify that the consignment to China has been inspected by Plant Quarantine Organisation of India and has been found free from Trogoderma granarium (Khapra beetle), Prosptephanus truncatus, Ditylenchus angustus,Striga angustifolia, Striga asiatica and Striga densiflora”.
